Michael Patti is one of Hollywood's
most promising and versatile composers. With his classical training
and piano background, his music spans the gamut of
genres from comedy, drama, action, adventure and animation.
Originally from New York, Michael studied privately
with Juilliard trained
composer and pianist Avraham Sternklar for eight years. Michael
then moved to Los Angeles to study at the University
of Southern California where he was mentored
by such composers as Academy
Award® nominee David Raksin, Golden
Globe nominee Christopher Young, and Grammy
Award Winner Joe Harnell. It was here
he developed the creative and technical skills necessary to succeed
as a composer in today's film and television industry.
Michael's philosophy is to serve the story and
the filmmakers's vision, to keep an open and collaborative
attitude, and deliver with professionalism
and integrity. Since having the opportunity
to work under other great composers, he's been given the invaluable
experience of composing for large, high-profile projects. He
looks forward to the future, where he can bring this experience
to your project, large or small.
Michael lives in Los Angeles with his wife Lynne
(a music teacher) and daughter Emma.
"Michael has this invaluable
quality as a composer that you hope to find in a seasoned actor.
The ability to take direction, consider the project as
a whole, make adjustments with ZERO attitude, and deliver the kind of award winning
performance that makes everyone shine."
